Standby Mode operates primarily on your local device. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Location & calendar access are processed 100% locally to display real-time weather and upcoming events on your ambient clock widgets.

1. Information We Access & How It Is Used

A. Location Data

ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Used exclusively to request current weather forecasts for Weather Widgets. Your location is processed locally on your device and transmitted directly over encrypted HTTPS channels to weather providers. We do not track your location in the background or store location logs.

B. Calendar Events

READ_CALENDAR

Used read-only to display your upcoming schedule and calendar appointments on Calendar widgets. Calendar data stays strictly on your local device and is never transmitted to external cloud servers.

C. Media & System State

FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW WAKE_LOCK

Used to render active media playback controls on Media Widgets, keep your display on during dock mode, and display lock-screen clock overlays when docked/charging.

2. Third-Party Advertising & Analytics SDKs

To support continuous development and serve non-intrusive advertisements, Standby Mode uses trusted third-party SDKs:

Google AdMob: Serves banner/interstitial advertisements. AdMob may process device identifiers (Advertising ID), general location data, and ad interaction metrics to deliver relevant ads in accordance with Google Ad Policies.
Firebase Analytics & Messaging: Collects anonymous usage metrics (app crash logs, OS version, session duration) to improve application stability and handle push notifications. Learn more at Firebase Privacy Policy.

3. Data Storage & Security

All app preferences, widget layouts, and clock customization settings are saved locally on your Android device using Android DataStore and SharedPreferences.

All network requests (weather API calls, notification channels) use industry-standard HTTPS (TLS 1.2/1.3) encryption. You can clear app storage or uninstall the application at any time to purge all local data instantly.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Standby Mode is not intended for or directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

5. European (GDPR) & California (CCPA) Privacy Rights

Opt-Out of Targeted Ads: Open Android Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization or Reset Advertising ID.
Manage Permissions: Grant or revoke permissions (Location, Calendar, Overlay, Notifications) anytime via Android Settings > Apps > Standby Mode > Permissions.
Data Erasure: Uninstalling the app permanently purges all local configurations.
